Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood slices retail Nov. 16
E3 2010: Ezio's Roman adventure hits PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 this fall; creative director steps away from the franchise.
LOS ANGELES--Ubisoft today revealed a release date for its upcoming stealth action game Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood. A trailer (embedded below) for the Mediterranean stalking title appeared today and revealed the game has a November 16 date with retail.
The game's E3 trailer, a nearly three-minute CGI tease, provides a cinematic glimpse into what gamers can expect this fall. The clip shows Ezio brazenly walking into an assassination attempt, slaying waves of enemies and sporting slightly more facial hair than in previous entries.A sequel to last year's Assassin's Creed 2, Brotherhood is a stand-alone product and the first Assassin's Creed game to incorporate a multiplayer component. In the title, players reprise their role as Ezio and travel in this sanguineous adventure to 1503 Rome, where the Templar order is again irking Ezio.
In other Assassin's Creed news, Patrice Desilets, creative director of the Assassin's Creed series, who has been with franchise development house Ubisoft Montreal since its inception, has left the studio according to a Game Informer report. According to a statement provided to the GameStop-owned magazine, Desilets "has decided to take a creative break from the industry and is no longer working on Assassin's Creed Brotherhood."
Ubisoft has yet to clarify how the game's multiplayer will work, but with Ubisoft's E3 2010 press conference scheduled for 5 p.m. PDT today, eager fans will likely soon get some answers.
