Too-funny Triss went down near the beginning of the first game also.

I really do hope they'er doing a console-version also because I'm getting tired of up-dating my computer to be able to run/play these games! Too damn much money these-day's for sure!!!!

Please release this for the 360 or PS3. Please. The combat looks amazing. The massive amount of loot, weapons, armor/clothing (even gloves!) and customization I must experience! I cannot afford a PC that can play all the awesome games that come out only on computer.

    @sguint-eyed

I suppose because they only mention Q1 2011, as opposed to a specific date.

As for console releases, I happenend upon this article here - http://witchervault.ign.com/fullstory.php?id=57121

I wonder why gamespot has it as "TBA" under 'release' while Tom clearly stated a date... Also he clearly said they weren't announcing anything certain on the consoles yet, but gamespot has it as "Also on: ps3 and xbox"...
    :s why the misinformation?

Dragon Age was released in 2010, The Witcher - 2007. Anyway, don't be afraid. Developers know, what they are doing. Some new stuff will be shown on GamesCom in Germany 18-22 / 8 / 2010

It has changed a lot... i don't like it, its not even an rpg game any more! looks more like a 3rd person action game. What I really liked about the first one is that is was old school rpg like dragton age, but this one... i dont know...

Yay! A new Witcher. Glad it's on the consoles too as my PC would not be able to cope any more!

Looks absolutely FANTASTIC. The first game was epic, absorbing and beautiful. Can't wait for this to come out!. Hmm Q1 2011. Give me time to replay the first game. I am soooo excited about this game.

Graphics and gameplay looks better than Dragon Age although i respect the game and might pick up the next dragon age but the witcher 2 is first day buy for me.

Looks incredibly intresting. The fact that he's emphazising so much on story instead of combat just makes me happy.

Ahh ofcourse... I forgot you could do that...
    My bad.

  • 3Z3K13L08

    Posted Jul 7, 2010 9:39 pm GMT

@P_R_E_Y They were using an Xbox 360 controller on a PC... It's a PC game, not console at this stage.

  • P_R_E_Y

    Posted Jul 7, 2010 4:28 am GMT

That is on the Xbox that demo.... it says RB when opening the door.
If that is the standard for the xbox, PS3 and PC must just be as good... with obviously PC having the better graphics over all.
Awsome... dunno if i will get on console, as if i still have this comp when it comes out, it will surely die trying to do anything on it.

I enjoyed witcher 1 hugely, enhanced version on full hd and all the mods to make it even look better. There is a very big mod database for it (like undress all chicks..lol. Different gear or scars etc) And if u owned withcer, the enhanced is free.
    Good looking game.
Character variation was a negative tho, most looked the same, lazt programmers...lol. Seems they improved it, by the looks of it.
Loved the combat too. I hope for the combo spellcasting and melee liek in 1st game.
This one looks very good, im sure gonna enjoy it.

Admitteedly, they made Gerald's face bit less "rough".

I play pc and ps3. But if its on pc, ill go pc. As my gamin pc is way more powerfull then my ps3 (couple years tech difference here).

but soon i'll be spending lotta time on GT5 on my ps3 of course.(wouldnt that be coool for high grade pc?)

I give a crap about other considerations, specially those that have no inherent value to gaming or its experience.
And 3D totally overrated, looks like old holo cards and u get a headache with those glasses in like an half hour or so. Not worth 2k euros screens.

I also have never been a huge pc gamer, at least since the hay days of diablio 2 and starcraft. I've never even heard of The Witcher until recently oddly enough, being a huge rpg buff as well, but this looks like a great game.

As far as the votes were concerned, those were a joke anyway, the fact that the fans cared that much to spam it just makes them retarded. Not like those votes mattered in anyway.

    Posted Jul 1, 2010 8:39 pm GMT

The graphic is worse than the first one, and the main character isn't as cool as the first one (I mean in the first one he was much more colder, and didn't look like a doll) but new fighting style should be better than the first one...

This game shows that we don't need new hardware, a good story and good game mechaniks will make us gamers always happy.

Consoles aren't diminishing the allure of the PC for me. I started out as a consol gamer with the original Nintendo, and then moved on to Super Nintendo and Sega, Playstation, PS2, and now PS3. But in the mid 90’s I also began seriously playing great PC RTS games like Command and Conquer and Warcraft. Then the MMO hit with Ultima Online, which in pre- renaissance form is still the best MMO experience I've ever had. Point is, I have love for both systems and will always use them both. Some PC games that I have on my list are Mafia II, Shogun II, Star Wars: TOR, New Vegas and possibly this. For PS3 I want to get GT5, LBP 2, Final Fantasy XIII, MAG, and Red Dead Redemption (I know some of these have been released but I’ve been broke and have not been able to check them out). I’m not threatened by consoles attracting more attention because I know that the PC will always have its role in gaming for me and plenty of other people. Well, at least until the two finally meet along with other media devices and become one life station, but by then no one should care.

    @ravenpl7
Spending hours repeatedly changing your IP and voting in a gamespot best of competition is not awesome, it's sad. It's also dishonest, but mostly just sad. This game does look cool though.

    Posted Jun 29, 2010 6:48 am GMT

What i like about this game is the "real fight" nothing of exagerated, like in Prince of Persia, or Fable III (for what i've seen in the video) the Witcher keeps foot on the ground his sword didn't hit at 15meters of distance and the atmosphere si amazing, it's a game for "Adult" Players

No character creation system, the campaign continues great story of great Geralt.
About the NOMINATIONS... GS deleted about 20k of Witcher nominations cause witcher fans are so awesome they spent hours changing their IP's and nominating, nominating and nominating. IMO The Witcher should be nominated to be game of E3.

@krisk_gamespot - their was apparently evidence of ballot stuffing to tip the scales in favor of The Witcher 2, but GS has removed the fraudulent votes.

Hmm, The Witcher 2 had the biggest number of nominations since last Friday. Nominations were due by Monday, June 21 at 9 a.m. PT when The Witcher 2 had almost 40k nominations. Now I can see only 22,662 so where is the remaining amount? I thought maybe they discovered some flaws in the voting system and did not react in time, but the numbers for other games seem to be unchanged. Anyone has any ideas? Is the result based on the votes from viewers?
