Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time coming to 3DS
E3 2010: Following Skyward Sword announcement, publisher confirms 1998 N64 classic will be reborn on new handheld.
LOS ANGELES--Today at Nintendo's press briefing, the publisher announced a slew of new titles for its new portable device, the 3DS, as well as for the Wii. Nintendo also took the lid off of The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, which it had first teased at E3 2009. However, Nintendo didn't end its Zelda announcements on that note alone.
The Nintendo of America Twitter account recently tweeted news that The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time will arrive in 3D, on the 3DS. Later, at Nintendo's roundtable, the title was confirmed for release on the portable, though a price or scheduled release date wasn't announced.
Ocarina of Time originally launched on the Nintendo 64 as the first open-world Zelda title, garnering near-universal acclaim. It was later made available on Nintendo's Virtual Console in 2007.
